We are seeking a proactive and competent HSE Officer to support workplace safety, regulatory compliance and the continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and hazard identification
- Monitor compliance with Trinidad and Tobago’s OSH legislation
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses
- Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures and records
- Coordinate emergency drills, toolbox talks and safety orientations
- Monitor corrective actions and contractor safety compliance
- Support the Safety and Health Committee
- Prepare HSE reports and performance updates
Requirements
- Qualification in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management or a related field
- Knowledge of the Trinidad and Tobago Occupational Safety and Health Act
- Experience in inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Strong communication, reporting and organisational skills
- NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 training would be an asset
- A valid driver’s permit and access to a vehicle would be an asset
